PROJECT UPDATE | Pinkerton Academy Social Studies Center is Occupied

Monthly Update – January 2025

DERRY, NH — Earlier this month, the new Social Studies Center opened for students and staff in our ACT and NECC programs. Seeing students enter the new space and start the new year in their new learning environment was exciting. With the start of semester 2, Social Studies classes started in the new building today. We are excited about all the opportunities this project will bring to our students, faculty, and staff to meet their needs and goals. We are holding an open house for members of our community to visit and see the new building on Wednesday, February 5th from 6 – 8 pm, and we look forward to welcoming you.

With the completion of the new building, our project enters phase 2. Phase 2 will consist of removing the remaining portion of the Social Studies Wing and creating a new parking area, egress, and green space. The current work consists of working through the remaining wing and doing all the disconnects to utilities for the demolition work. We are also working with Derry Fire so they can have the opportunity to do training in the remaining wing.
